Susan Buffett Foundation Early Childhood Business Engagement Project
|
A national policy advocacy effort by the Buffett Early Childhood Fund, sixty United Ways across six states (Kansas, Nebraska, Texas, Winconsin, Colorado, Washington) have enlisted over 2,500 private sector champions to elevate the issue of early learning, shape public conversations, and advocate for funding and policy supporting young children. |
| Over the past five years, the UWW project has supported the participating United Ways with over $1 million in regrants, technical assistance, online and in-person communications toolkits, and national peer meetings. |
| This work directly supports United Way's long-term education goals, to cut the number of high school dropouts. Research shows that children who come to school with skills they need to succeed have a far greater chance to graduate and greater success in work and life. |
