Community Impact Council

In 2009 the United Way Board of Directors voted to move to a new operational model - Community Impact.  The Community Impact model goes beyond our traditional role of a workplace fundraiser for a set number of human service agencies.  Our new role coordinates community resources to achieve measureable community-wide impact.  We will strive to convene established and new partners to solve problems at the community level.

Council Outcomes and Deliverables:

  • Identify critical community issues.
  • Evaluate current United Way funding and possible gaps in meeting the critical issues of our community.
  • Propose a set of community goals for 2012 (and beyond) to the UW Board of Directors.
  • Create a Community Impact Plan that outlines a strategic plan of achieving community goals.
